Vijaya Vittala Institute of Technology (VVIT) was established by Sri VijayaVittala Charitable and Educational Trust, affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum and approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. Late Prof. K. VenkatagiriGowda, a renowed academician and a noted economist from London school of economics was the founder President of the trust. Dr. Venugopal K.R, a visionary and educationist, is the Honorary Technical Advisor to the Trust. SmtRukmini T, the founder trustee of Alpha College of Engineering is the Chairperson of VijayaVittala Institute of Technology. This group of pioneering educators, have shaped the lives of many students into great careers.

Placements
The Training & Placement Cell facilitates the process of placement of students passing out from the Institute besides collaborating with leading organizations and institutes in setting up of internship and training program of students. The Cell also organizes Industrial Visits throughout the year to reputed organization to give hands on experience and accelerate the process of learning outside the classrooms. The cell also conducts Pre-Placement Talks as per mutual convenience of the students and the corporate. The Placement Cell is assisted by all the students and staff members directly or indirectly.
