Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT), Bangalore came into existence in 1979, under the auspices of VokkaligaraSangha, Bangalore with an intake of 242 students. The present strength of the institute is 2510. The institute is provided with the necessary modern infrastructural facilities. BIT has high qualified and experienced teachers. Several companies have recruited BITians. It is of pride and jubilation that the students of BIT are spread all over the world and are holding important positions as engineers and technologists THE BANGALORE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY is located in the heart of Bangalore, the "Electronic City" and "Silicon Valley" of India. The institution came into being in August 1979 under the auspices of VokkaligaraSangha, Bangalore. Bangalore Institute of Technology has always been at the forefront of modern technology and is credited with the introduction of the first full-fledged COMPUTER SCIENCE & ENGINEERING degree in Karnataka.
